Yami-jin and proud of it, Ookami is the last to join the group. Despite his appreance, Ookami is 96 years old, and hates beyond anything when people treat him like a kid. At the same time, he's not at all afraid to act like a kid to get himself out of trouble or to get what he wants.

Ookami is the most well travelled of the five. He has been to all six worlds in search of his older brother Inu. What makes him think that his brother is in the light world is unknown, since there are very few Yami-jin in the Light-kai. Also unknown is how he was able to travel so many worlds in such a short time. He has given hints that it is because he has been to the mythical Center of all the worlds. That is yet unconfirmed.

Ookami is energetic, and seemingly determined to get into trouble. A night owl for obvious reasons, when he is awake he is an absolute terror to anyone he does not like. Ookami is not above pulling pranks, tricks, and anything else to stir things up. As a Yami-jin, he has the ability to disappear and reappear with the aide of shadows, and does so constantly to startle the ever calm Koken or ever mild Iyashi. He is fast friends with Kitsu, and somehow she can keep him out of too much trouble.

There is a scar on Ookami's cheek, right under his left eye. While he does not go into details, he says that it is part of Yami-jins right of passage into the world of adulthood. His brother Inu, has a similar scar on his neck.

Ookami has a small, stuffed doll that he carries with him. He says that it is an exact likeness of his brother, and uses it when asking people if they have seen him. How close the resemblense is is unknown.
